She has some good tips, but some of the phrases she uses are hard to get past. I had to stop reading halfway through. If you're a highly religious person this might be the book for you, but with how often she mentions "god breezes" I just couldn't read it. I hate to write a negative review, but this book was definitely not for me. Although I am catholic & consider myself to be a “good person” for the most part....I don’t need that incorporated into my cleaning life. I feel like a horrible person saying this, but it made the book very off putting for me. I guess if you’re a stay at home Christian housewife (from the 50’s) her ideas may work for you. I really can’t say I walked away with any real good advice after reading (half) of this book. She kind of comes across as a martyr, that NEEDS to make a clean home for her family. In this day & age, with usually a dual income household, both partners need to chip in to maintain a household. I also found the testimonials to be a bunch of filler & unnecessary. A lot of “Praise the Lord...Hallelujahs” from her die hard transformed followers. I realize she has a following, so there must be a lot of people who find this book helpful, I’m not one of them. The only part I felt useful was her advice of getting rid of things that aren’t useful in your life...I got rid of this book.PS...I read & liked Jan Dougherty’s “Lost art of housekeeping” & found that to be a much better fit for me. No BS....just good solid advice.
